Recording and Mix studio
The Recording and Mix studio has the ability to blend the analogue and digital sound eras in a unique way. There is an extensive selection of modern microphones complemented by the largest collection of vintage microphones in the Netherlands . These, in combination with various high-end microphone preamplifiers create a defined sound spectrum.
The studio is a 150 square meter recording room with a dry acoustic (reverberation time: 0.2 seconds) with an additional room of 60 square meter with a variable acoustic (reverberation time: between 0.5 and 1.5 seconds). The listening environment of the 45 square meter control room is exceptionally reliable and pleasant because of its excellent acoustics.
The studio has various musical instruments at its disposal, which can be used during the recording sessions.
All the equipment is in excellent condition, which also includes the 40 channels Cadac mixing console, the 40 Neumann tube microphones, the Hammond B3, the Fender Rhodes, the Mini Moog, and the Prophet-5 and last but not least the Steinway & Sons Grand Piano. By using Pro Tools (TDM & HD) the recording sessions can digitally record up to 24 tracks at a time. By using the Sony/MCI JH 24 track it is possible to first record the signal analogue and afterwards transfer it digitally into Pro Tools.
There is ample peripheral equipment present, such as tube compressors, equalizers, reverberation units and plates that can easily be accessed during the mix down. The eventual conversion of the stereo mix is held to the highest of demands.
